Madeline B. Richter

SCHENECTADY – Madeline B. Richter, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy. Madeline fought a long and courageous battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Domenico and Julia Caiazzo. Madeline worked for New York State Office of General Services for eighteen years before retiring in 1995. She enjoyed bowling, tennis, music, singing and traveling. Madeline is the beloved mother of Diona M. Richter of Allamuchy, NJ, Robert M. (Donna) Richter of Ballston Spa and David Richter of Albany. She is the loving sister of Diana Caiazzo of Rotterdam. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Madeline was predeceased by one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
