Madeline DiCaprio, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Kingsway Arms, Schenectady. She was born in Schenectady to the late Mary C. (Pirro) and Donato Guarino. Madeline retired after many years of employment with SUNY Albany as the morning cook. She was a member of St. Madeline Sophie's plus 50 Club and the Town of Guilderland's Senior Citizens. She was also an avid Bingo player. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony DiCaprio and her brother Guy Guarino.
Madeline is survived by her beloved children; Linda (Nick) Macchiarella, Laura Mae (Stephen) Unser and Joseph DiCaprio II and his companion Deborah Kufs. She is the cherished grandmother of; Nick S. (Dominique), Anthony, Daniel (Jennifer) Macchiarella, Joseph (Nichole), Stephen Jr. (Tabetha) Unser, Joseph N. (Gina Anne) and Gina Marie DiCaprio. She is the adored great grandmother of; Madison and Daniel Macchiarella, Gabriel, Vincent, Henry, Shawn and Noah Unser, Gianna and Jean Marie DiCaprio. She is the sister of Grace Tangarone, Marion Collins, Irene Larrabee and sister-in-law Edith DiCaprio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carmen St. Schenectady. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass at Memory Gardens Colonie.
