ALBANY- Madeline V. Pierle, 88, of Albany passed away on Saturday February 2, 2008 at St. Peters Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Jerome and Anna Picciano Caputo. Madeline was a nurses aide at Albany Medical Center and VA Medical Center Occupational Therapy, from where she retired in 1982. She was active as a volunteer and with community services. Madeline was a member of the Hart Seniors in Colonie and the Polish American Citizens Club. She enjoyed traveling, cruises and dancing. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Henry Pierle in 1988.
She is the beloved mother of Richard (Mabel) Pierle of Penn Yan, NY and Joseph (Joy) Pierle of Slingerlands. Madeline is the sister of Esther Jasinski, Benjamin Caputo and the late Frank, Daniel and Rocco Caputo and Nancy Geragosian. She is the dear friend of Donald Trudeau. Cherished grandmother of Christina Rider, Richard, Victoria and Joseph Pierle. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
