79, passed away peacefully, on Monday, January 11, 2021.
Madelyn was born in Brooklyn, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Egan.
During a separation between her husband Joseph in the 1970's, Madelyn as a single mother moved up to Albany, NY with her three children, where she went on to receive her GED and attend Skidmore College, where she obtained her Bachelor's in Nursing.
She had a profound love for reading. Some of her favorite Authors were David Baldacci, Stephen King and James Patterson.
She always carried a book wherever she went. When she could no longer hold a book, she would listen to her favorite authors on CD. She also adored her two kitties, Jackson and Trazsmia.
Madelyn is survived by her Son, Joseph C. Egan (Wife, Tammy), Daughters, Cathy McElroy & Connie Egan-Prevett (Husband – Leonard). She Is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family with a future time and date to be announced.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to New Comer Cremations & Funeral, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
