COLONIE – Madlyne E. Miller, 88, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Buffalo and was the daughter of the late Delphis and Grace LaChapelle.
Madlyne was a devoted homemaker and caregiver. She dedicated her life to raising her seven children and nuturing a home filled with love and warmth. Madlyne enjoyed camping with her family. She made every holiday gathering a special and joyful event. She will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 63 years, John A. Miller Sr.
Madlyne is the beloved mother of Karan Kross, Grace Miller-Wakeman (Kenneth), John A. Miller Jr. (Beverly), Christine Newell, Valorie Colligan (Michael), Sally Loeper (Kenneth) and Peter Miller. She is the sister of Blanche Weininger, Marjorie Smith (Joseph) and the late Richard LaChapelle and Angeline Bradley. She is the sister-in-law of Kay Miller Bargy. Madlyne is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 at the Infant of Prague Chapel at the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext. Albany. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at New ComerCannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie and Monday from 10 to 11 am at the Teresian House. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to NENY Alzheimer's Association, Pine West Plaza, Bdg4 Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205.
