Mae D. Wood

SCHENECTADY, NY – Mae D. Wood, 84, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Piercefield, NY she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jennie Jacobs. She lived in Schenectady for 53 years. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Women's Chapter 188 of the Schenectady Moose Lodge where she participated in their bowling league for many years. Mae was predeceased by her husband, John E. Wood. She is the beloved mother of Stephen L. Burns and his wife, Marie of Schenectady. She is the sister of Grace LaBarge of Schenectady. Mae is the cherished grandmother of David, Jeffrey and Lisa Burns and the loving great-grandmother of Justin and Isaac Burns.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 8:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Sacred Heart St. Columba Church, 803 Stanley St., Schenectady at 9:00 a.m.where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
