Maereaver Mitchell

Delmar-Maereaver "Mary" Mitchell, 84, of Delmar passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home following an illness. Mary was born in Coeymans the daughter of the late Richard and Lula Smith Scott. She has resided in the Albany area most of her life.
She is survived by her sister in law Bettie Scott of Albany; her nieces and nephews, Craig (Nadine) Scott, Michael Scott, Lynda Scott, Valarie Scott, Julie (Michael) Armijo, Jeffrey (Dawn) Scott, Susan (Dan) Doran, Stephen Scott and David (Kelly) Scott, along with many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends, David Boyer and family and by Pat, Lillian and Iley.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Lorenzo "Larry" Mitchell and her brothers, Lt. Col. Alvestor (Julie) Scott and Richard Scott, Jr.
The family wishes to thank Community Hospice and Good Samaritan Nursing Home for the wonderful care Mary had received.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11AM on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery
