Obituary for Malcolm N. Bibby
ALBANY – Malcolm N. "Nick" Bibby, 76, passed away at home on Monday, August 22, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Adeline Bibby.
Nick lived most of his life in Albany. He was educated through the Albany Public School system. He retired from the Local 190 Union and the Albany County Sheriff's Department. Nick will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, great love of sports (particularly the Yankees), and his "hole in one" at Capital Hills at Albany Golf Course. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
Along with his parents, Nick was predeceased by his sisters, Alida Roohan and Adeline Harold.
He was the devoted husband of Carol L. Bibby; loving father of Leslie Parker of Green Island, and Lauren (Thomas Dwyer) Bibby of Fultonville; dear stepfather of Kim (David) Primo of Manlius, NY, Kathleen (Joseph) McCaffrey of Slingerlands, Kelly (Christopher) Parsons of Delmar; adored grandfather of Franklin N. Parker of Somerville, MA, Erica and Thomas Dwyer of Fultonville; step-grandfather of Alexandra, Christina, Robert and Kimberly Primo, Joseph, Ryan and Caroline McCaffrey, Meghan and Sarah Crewell. He is also survived by his niece and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 am at The Parish of Mater Christi, Albany. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
