Marc D. Genovesi of Latham, 52, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024. Born September 8, 1971, in Albany, NY, he was the beloved son of Mary Carcia Genovesi and Philip S. Genovesi, also of Latham.
Marc was a kind and gentle spirit who will always be remembered for his sense of humor and generosity. When Marc entered a room, everyone knew the laughs would be coming! A graduate of Shaker High School and Hudson Valley Community College, Marc worked for Brooks Pharmacy, Key Bank Services and most recently, Bimbo Bakery. In his spare time, he enjoyed rooting for the NY Yankees and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his loving parents, Marc is survived by his sisters, Deborah Genovesi (Walter Laskos) of Massachusetts, and Gina Genovesi of Florida; his aunt Josephine Rowe of Oneonta; his uncle, Thomas Blau of Loudonville; his niece Gabriella Lavelle and nephew Joseph Lavelle of Florida, as well as several cousins and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Betty Di Blasi Genovesi Palmer and Salvatore Genovesi, and Andrew and Rose Carcia, as well as his aunt Pat Blau.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Marc's life on Saturday, March 30, 2024,visitation from 1:00-3:00 pm with services following immediately after at 3:00 pm at New Comer Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189.
