Marc Stewart Waggener
February 18, 1932 — June 15, 2016
Colonie- Marc Stewart Waggener, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. He was the son of the late Marc G. and Margaret Waggener. Marc is survived by his wife of 57 years Katharyn Waggener.
Marc served in the Army Air Corp. after getting drafted in High School. Marc was a volunteer groundskeeper for the Colonie Babe Ruth baseball field and coached youth soccer. Marc also volunteered his time as a fireman for fire districts in the area. He also enjoyed model railroads and folk music and was a past president of Old Songs Incorporated.
In addition to his wife Marc is survived by his three daughters; Deborah Waggener, Margaret Anatriello and Heidi Waggener. Marc is also survived by his grandchildren, TJ & Sabrina Anatriello, his two brothers, Kenneth (Linda) and Thomas (Liz) Waggener and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on, Friday, July 1, 2016 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 2, 2016 at 10:00am at Hamilton Union Presbyterian Church, 2291 Western Avenue, Guilderland NY 12084.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to a charity of your choice in honor of Marc.
