Marcella Tozzi

Marcella Tozzi, 100, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, surrounded by her loving family. Marcella was born in Marino, Italy to the late Rafael and Amelia Campanari. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and playing cards with her late husband, Michael Tozzi. Marcella also loved to spend time with her family, especially her grand children. In addition to her parents and her husband, Marcella was predeceased by her three sisters and one brother.
Marcella is survived by, her loving daughter, Loretta (Joe) Bonafide; her stepchildren, Ezio (Monica) Tozzi and Evelyn Frese. She is the cherished grandmother of, Sara, Rachel, Patty, Marie, Michael, Fr. Ross, Mario, Mark and Americo. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in Italy.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, then to Christ Our Light where the Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Calling hours will be Monday, from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, 2 Mercy Care Lane, Guilderland, NY 12084 in Marcella's honor.
