Marchelle L. Kirtley

Our hearts grieve for the loss of Marchelle "Mimi" Kirtley who passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
Marchelle was predeceased by her husband, David Kirtley, after 46 years of marriage.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia "Cindy" (Michael), Anna, Anthony (Jessica), and Elizabeth "Libby"; her grandchildren, Salvatore, Nicholas, Vincent, Mikey, McKenna, Anabelle, and Carter. Kaitlyn and Kyleigh were always a child and grandchild of her heart. She is also survived by her brothers Ernie and Cesare, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wherever she lived, Mimi was like the neighborhood mom or grandma. Her voice could be heard across the neighborhood, or from the other side of a store, and you could always hear the Brooklyn accent she never lost.
Mimi loved animals and would open her home to any animal in need. Her home was a menagerie of dogs, cats, turtle, fish, and hamsters. She loved going to church, gardening, shopping, dancing and music. You could hear her listening to Elvis, Patsy Cline, or Christmas songs all year long. She loved getting a bargain on flowers for her garden at Lowes or anything she could find at Target and Homegoods.
A wake will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 1-4 pm at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie, NY 12205. A mass will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11 am at St. Pius X church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY followed by the burial
at 1:30 pm at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
