Marcia A. Dickson

ALBANY – Marcia A. Dickson, 72, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Marcia was also known as Lip and Tooley. She was born on December 29, 1938 in Chatham and was the daughter of the late Elmer & Dorothy Smith and Genevieve Van Demark.
Marcia is survived by her children, Denise Jones, Allinden Dickson, Anthony Dickson, Jody Hilts-Fallen, and William Hilts (Monica); her brother, Jim Smith; her sister, Ann-Marie Hilts, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Lewis W. Hilts; her husband, Kenneth J. Dickson; her sisters, Kathleen "Dolly" Grimes and Yvonne "Sally" Kettles; her brothers, Elmer "Stubby" Smith Jr. and Clyde Smith; and a great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
