Marcia A. Mercier

ALBANY- Marcia A. Mercier, 74, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1942 daughter of the late William E. and Grace L. (Heyworth) Dugan in Albany.
Marcia graduated from Albany High School and earned her Associates Degree at Albany Business College. She worked at Albany Savings Bank as a Mortgage Originator until her retirement.
Marcia was devoted to her family. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with those she loved. Her kindness and wonderful sense of humor will be fondly remembered by those who had the privilege to know and love her.
Marcia is survived by her siblings, Robert F. Dugan (Deborah), Joan M. Dugan (Patricia), Donna E. Adams (Robin); grandchildren, Jamie Mercier, Kyle Mercier; nieces, Kimberly Scharrenweber (George), Lauren Jarrard (Fred) and several relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her son Matthew R. Mercier.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service for Marcia will begin at 4:00pm on Sunday at New Comer Funerals & Cremations. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 10:00am.
Marcia's family would like to extend their gratitude for the kindness and care provided by the staff, especially her nurse, Kathy, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home during Marcia's time there.
