ALBANY – Margaret A. (Burns) Gagliardi, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born on March 31, 1936 in Ravena and was the daughter of the late Howard S. and Jessie (Allen) Lasher. She was a home maker and enjoyed swimming, biking, cooking, baking, shopping, crocheting, collecting, gardening, traveling, 40's and 50's and classical music, animals and made contributions to many organizations. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church and a former member of St. Clare's Church where she enjoyed signing in the choir.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Pasquale J. Gagliardi; her loving children, John M. (Mary) Burns, Thomas R. (Kim) Burns, and Jacqueline M. (Bill) Conboy; her cherished grandchildren, Shannon, Meghan, and Zachary Burns and Will and Jessica Conboy; her brothers, Howard (Marion) Lasher and Gerald Lasher and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband of 25 years, John J. Burns and her brother, George Lasher.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
