Margaret A. Gunzelman

ALBANY – Margaret "Peggy" (Whelan) Gunzelman, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at the age of 87.
Peggy was born in North Albany. She was employed for many years by Guilderland Wine and Liquor and Bishop Broderick Apartments in Colonie. Peggy was a communicant of St. Clare's Church where she performed in their variety shows. She was an excellent seamstress, as she designed and sewed many of their costumes. Peggy was also an avid collector of dolls.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband Jerauld A. Gunzelman, Sr.
She was the loving mother of Jerauld A. Gunzelman, Jr., of Tabernacle, NJ, Sharon(Robert) Faulkner of Clifton Park, and Nancy (Jeffrey Mann) Whelan of Philmont, NY; grandmother of Danielle Badiali of Clinton, NJ, Nicole Pritchett of Harleysville, PA, Justin, Kyle and Trevor Faulkner of Clifton Park, and Sarah LaFountain of Texas; great-grandmother of Kevin, Ryan and Samantha Pritchett, and Helena and Paige Badiali; sister of Sarah McDonald, and close cousin of Mildred Van Duesen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Avenue, Colonie, at 9:00 am Saturday. Interment will be in Gerald B.H.
