Margaret A. Leavitt

ALBANY- Margaret A. Leavitt, 80, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday April 23, 2008 at her residence after a long illness.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late William J. and Marion Fitzgerald. Margaret enjoyed playing cards and solving puzzles. She was fond of caring for her cherished grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth R. Leavitt in 1979.
Margaret is the beloved mother of Mary Ann Leavitt and beloved Nanny of her grandson Kenny Salmeri. She is the beloved mother of Kenneth (Marie)Leavitt Jr. Patricia Szczepkowski(late Raymond) and Ruth(Mark) Amodeo. She is the grandmother of Angela, Mark, Kelly, Kenny, Shawn, Brett and the late Alicia; great grandmother of Autumn, Alyssa, Tierney, Madison and Miley. She is the sister of the late William Fitzgerald and Mary Dunn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:30 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
