SCHENECTADY – Margaret A. Monty, 75, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born on August 2, 1933 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Calie Casey. She worked as a clerk for Tiemann's Dry Cleaner's in Schenectady for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed going to casinos and spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Edward M. Monty, Jr.; her son, Edward M. (Joyce) Monty III of Ballston Lake; her daughter, Deborah Billetdoex of Schenectady; her granddaughters, Dawn M. Borysewicz and Elizabeth and Jennifer Billetdoex; her brother, Martin (Pat) Casey; her dear friends, Carol Haight and Nancy Percenti and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at 12 noon at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 in memory of Margaret.
