Margaret A.(O'Donnell) Cullinane

COLONIE – Margaret A. (O'Donnell) Cullinane, 76, passed away at home on Monday, October 10, 2011. Born in Great Barrington, MA, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Mary O'Donnell. Peg was a 1955 graduate of St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for over thirty-five years. Peg was a hospital volunteer and a Eucharistic Minister. She was involved in ministry to others all of her life. Peg is the beloved wife of 53 years to Jack Cullinane whom she married in 1958 at St. Ambrose Church in Latham. She is the devoted mother of Brian Cullinane of Pittsburgh, PA and Mary Cullinane of New York City, NY. Peg is the cherished grandmother of Megan and Caitlin Cullinane of New Providence, NJ. She is the loving sister of James R. (Sandra) O'Donnell of Colonie and the late Terrence D. O'Donnell. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Theresa O'Donnell of Schenectady and her brothers-in-law, Rev. Briant Cullinane of Burlington, NC, Rev. Jeremiah Cullinane of Manitowac, WI as well as several nieces and nephews. Peg's family would like to thank Nina Lake of the Community Hospice of Albany for all of the loving care she gave to Peg during her illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church (formerly St. Francis De Sales), 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville at 11:00 a.m. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pinewest Plaza – Suite 204, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Margaret A. Cullinane.
