Margaret L. Becker

WATERVLIET - Margaret L. (Ashline) Becker, 91 years of age, passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on April 6, 2022. She was born on August 15, 1930 in Watervliet to the late Alfred and Margaret (Murphy) Ashline Sr. and was married to the love of her life Jacob Becker 3rd on May 23, 1953. They celebrated their love for 61 years until Jake's passing in 2015. Marge was co-owner of North East Thermo King Inc. with her husband.

She is survived by her 5 children, 9 grandchildren and their spouses, Lance and Cassandra Becker, and grandsons, Craig (Willa) Becker and Eric (Jacque) Becker; Dr. Bruce Becker and granddaughters, Erin (Andrew) Baynard and Maya Becker; Dr. Scott and Ellen Becker, and grandsons, Max Becker and Sam Becker; Lynne Becker and granddaughters, Alexandria Becker and Natalie Becker; and Joyce and Dr. John Yanusas and granddaughter, Elyse Yanusas. Marge was preceded in death by her siblings, Edward J. Ashine Sr., Rev. Alfred J. Ashline Jr., Isabelle Amato, and Robert H. Ashline Sr.

Her family would like to thank Mary (Ashline) Kelly, Marge's niece and our cousin, for her kindness, support, love and friendship. Your wisdom is greatly appreciated and your love is unconditional.

A celebration of Marge's life will be held for family in the chapel of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville on April 26, at 11am. A private interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery where she will join her soulmate, Jake. In lieu of flowers and donations, Marge would wish for you to enjoy and celebrate life. "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, Unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear."
