Margaret C. Brod

PITTSTOWN, NY – Margaret C. "Peggy" Brod, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Born in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Lenihan. Mrs. Brod lived in the Pittstown area for most of her life. She worked for the former New York Telephone Company for over thirty years until her retirement. Peggy was the beloved wife of the late James I. Brod. She is the devoted mother of Randy W. (Lisa) Brod and Robin W. (Nick) Halko. Peggy is the cherished grandmother of Randi and Parker Brod and Ashley and Amanda Halko. She is the sister of Nancy (Jim) Kalasinski. Also surviving is her close and dear friend, Beth Whiting and her helpful and caring neighbors, Bob and Betsy Tromans.
At Peggy's request, there will be no services. Family and friends are invited to stop by her home on Saturday, March 19th between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to share memories and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Estherville Animal Shelter, 100 Russell Road, Greenfield Center, NY 12833 in memory of Margaret C. Brod.
