Margaret C. Rowe

MECHANICVILLE- Margaret C. Rowe, 74, of Mechanicville, passed away on Saturday June 21, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Rocco DeMercurio and Margaret (Joseph) Gambino.
Margaret had worked with D&D Caterers at Shaker Ridge Country Club for several years. She was a former member of the Women's Albany City Bowling League and the Ladies Auxillary of the Bucci McTague Post. She enjoyed bingo, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Rowe Sr. and her grandson Robert J. Rowe III. She is the longtime companion of Richard Horn. Margaret is the beloved mother of Margaret A. Amash, Robert J. Rowe Jr. (Sharen) Laurie M. McNall (Robert), Shelley M. Hudson (Robert) and Beth A. DeCota (Richard Allen). She is the sister of Sammy DeMercurio, Mary Doran and the late Jimmy DeMercurio. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:15 at NewComer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Christ the King Church at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Ass'n or the American Heart Ass'n in memory of Margaret C. Rowe.
