Margaret Cherico

Latham- Margaret "Peggy" Cherico, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021 with her loving daughter by her side. She was the daughter of the late Radley and Estelle Dilbert. Peggy was the devoted wife to Michael T. Cherico. They were married 57 years.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with her entire family, most recently with her grandchildren. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Peter's hospital, sewing, gardening, reading, and traveling. She will be fondly remembered by everyone who had the honor of meeting her.

In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her daughters, Chris (Rob) Johnson and Alyssa (Mark) Stagliano; grandchildren, Riley, Braeden, and Griffin Johnson and Ellie, Brennan, and Parker Stagliano; and her beloved grand-dogs, Blondie and Luke.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peggy's name to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 and the National Down Syndrome Society, 8 E 41st Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10017.
