Latham-Margaret (Peggy) Dugan, 93, entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2025, at Van Rensselaer Manor. Peggy was the daughter of the late Leroy and Margaret Buzzi Cummings.
Peggy was a communicant of St. Bonaventure’s Church in Speigletown. She was a devoted and caring nurse at Cohoes Hospital, and Leonard and St. Mary’s Hospitals in Troy.
Peggy enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod, sewing, knitting, playing golf and bowling with her many friends, and especially spending time with her adored children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Peggy is predeceased by her siblings Patsy, Dawn, Larry, John, and Billy and her grandsons Stephen and Mikey, as well as her treasured companion of many years, William Gauthier. Also predeceased by her former husband, Raymond Dugan. Beloved mother of Kathy Patrizio (late Joseph), James Dugan (Beth Muller), Susan Westhead (Michael), and Stephen Dugan (Elle). Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great- great -grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Peggy’s family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Van Rensselaer Manor for their loving and compassionate care of Peggy during her stay there.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 with a funeral service to begin at 12:00pm. Inurnment to follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, 79 St. Agnes Highway, Cohoes NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
