Margaret E. Leyden

GLENMONT – Margaret E. Leyden, 74, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Smith) Coleman. She lived in Garden City on Long Island before moving back to Albany.

Margaret is the beloved mother of Dennis Leyden of Dickinson, TX, Mark (Beth) Leyden of Cranbury, NJ and Douglas Leyden of Baltimore, MD. She is the loving sister of Elizabeth (Robert) Elze of Delmar, Ronald (Mary Ann) Coleman of Voorheesville and the late James Coleman. Margaret is the cherished grandmother of Christopher and Jeffrey Leyden. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" Coleman, and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 2, Suite 204, Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Margaret E. Leyden.
