ALBANY – Margaret F. Sponable, 89 passed away peacefully on March 2, 2016 at the Teresian House.
She was born October 25, 1926 to William & Florence Vitalius. She married her husband Edward Sponable, April 20 1946. Margaret worked as a Clerk for NYS Tax & Finance, and also worked as an LPN part-time. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and gardening.
Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers William & Kenneth Vitalius. Her husband Edward passed on October 4, 1990.
Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children: Edward Peter (Nancy) Sponable; Gayle (Richard) Osterhout; William (DeBorah) Sponable; James (Karen) Sponable; Brian (Tamera) Sponable; Kevin (Peggy) Sponable; and Robert (Sandra) Sponable; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 3-5 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11 am at the Teresian House, Albany, NY. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
