ALBANY-- Margaret" Peg" Greene passed away after a brief illness on October 30, 2011.
Peg was born in North Albany in 1926, a daughter of the late Elizabeth and George Scarf. Peg worked as an executive secretary with JE Hennessy Brokerage. In 1979, she became a member of the Albany County Realty Board and joined Bob Howard Inc. and then went on to open her own Brokerage firm, Peg Greene Realty. Her greatest joy was helping first time home buyers.
She is survived by her children grandchildren great grandchildren sister nieces and nephews
At Peg's request there will be no calling hours rather she requested that you joined her family for a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Thursday, November 3rd at 9 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle Street, Albany. Interment to follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peg's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital,501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9956.
