COLONIE- Margaret (Mickey) Cellery Shumway, 84, of Colonie, passed away on Monday November 2, 2009 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany on August 25, 1925. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Charles (Red) Shumway and her son Carl Shumway. She is survived by her children, Charlene (James) MacFawn, Marguerite Salazar, Joy (Sonny) Woodard, Charles (Electa) Shumway Jr., Tracie (Randy) Jones and William Shumway. She is the sister of Thomas (Joanne) Cellery and sister in law of Ralph (Evel;yn) Shumway. Margaret is also survived by 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. To leave a special message for the family online, visit NewcomerAlbany.com
