Margaret I. O'Brien

Margaret I. O'Brien, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jul 24, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Dolgeville, NY to the late Flossie (Cain) and John Graham, Sr.

Margaret worked at Tobin Packing, Larson's Coffee Shop in downtown Albany for many years and for Shaker High School. She also devoted many hours volunteering her time at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany. She enjoyed her family especially the grand kids and great grand kids, she also enjoyed gardening.

She was the loving wife of the late William O'Brien, Sr. and the mother of the late Patricia (O'Brien) Fish, son in law Raymond Fish Sr., Robert O'Brien Sr. and Margaret Mary O'Brien. She was the sister of the late William Graham, John Graham Jr., Harold Graham and Lorraine Monaco.

She is survived by her sons, William (Ann Marie) O'Brien Jr., and Timothy (Grace) O'Brien Sr. and daughter Sharon (Harry) Beck and daughter in law Roseanne O'Brien. Margaret is also survived by her siblings; Jacqueline O'Brien, Robert Graham Sr., and Jean Viddivo and sister in law Doris Graham. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Ann Marie and Shannon for the way they cared for Margaret during the last year.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205 or to the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle Street, Albany, NY 12202 c/o the food pantry in Margaret's memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 125 Eagle Street, Albany, NY 12202. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens, Colonie.
