Margaret Lawlor

February 14, 1925 — August 25, 2014

Albany – Margaret J. Lawlor, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday August 25, 2014 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehab. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Phyllis Lawlor.

Margaret worked as a waitress at Lombardo's Restaurant for more than 50 years, before retiring at the age of 65. She loved to go to the races at Saratoga and her annual vacations to Cape Cod. Margaret was a devout Catholic, attending Mass weekly, even when she had to watch it on TV due to her illness.

Margaret is survived by her nieces, Catherine Tubbs, Joan (Richard) Gardner and Patricia Fay; her nephew Michael Fay; her great nieces, Amy Tubbs, Kimberly Mathew and Jody (Charlie) Crouchman. She is also survived by many great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Margaret on Friday August 29th at 9:30 a.m. at Historic St. Mary's Church, 10 Lodge St. Calling hours for Margaret will be held on Thursday August 28th from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.
