Margaret M. Frey

COLONIE – Margaret M. "Marge" Frey passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Albany and lived in Colonie for most of her life. Marge was a lifetime member of the Midway Fire Dept. Auxiliary and a communicant of St. Clare's Church. She enjoyed her monthly trips to Turning Stone, playing bingo and spending weekends at camp on Caroga Lake.


Marge was the beloved wife of the late Donald L. Frey, Sr. until his passing in 2010. She is the devoted mother of Donald L. (Sandy) Frey, Jr. and Frederick (Rose) Frey all of Colonie. She is the loving sister of Joan and Ed Murphy and Patricia Bearder. Marge is the cherished grandmother of Erica, Marc, Brandon, Justin and Nathan Frey. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church, Colonie at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midway Fire Dept., 1956 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Margaret M. Frey.
