Margaret M. Whittam

LATHAM- Margaret M. Whittam, 77 of Latham, died peacefully, October 6, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. She was born in Albany on August 1, 1934, the daughter of the Late Ellen (Bartlett) and Harold Seifts.
She retired as a secretary for NY State Department of Environmental Conservation located in Albany. She was a devoted NY Giant's Fan, enjoyed reading and family excursions to Lake George.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the Late James A. Whittam who died on October 29, 2002. Loving mother to Eileen Leskowsky of Latham and Lynn Whittam of Colonie. She is the cherished Grandmother of Erica & Michael Leskowsky. Dear Sister of Elizabeth Gorman. Beloved Aunt of Edward & Jack Gorman and Colleen Robinson. Great Aunt of Patrick and Danielle Gorman and Morgan & Amanda Robinson. Dear Friend of Janet & Mike Sullivan.
Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Monday October 10, from 4:00-7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10:00am from the Funeral Home thence to St. Ambrose Church, Latham where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am by the Reverend Francis DuBois. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Help Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
