Rotterdam- Margaret Mary "Peggy" Ryan, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Margaret Mary was the daughter of the late James and Helen Ryan.
Margaret Mary was a devoted Roman Catholic. She loved helping people. She was a CNA and assisted multiple friends and family members at end of life care. Margaret Mary was very gifted in crocheting beautiful blankets and other items and gifted them to the needy and those she loved. At the end, Margaret Mary enjoyed watching nature with her beloved dogs, Milo and Chloe, while sitting in her favorite chair by the bay window.
Margaret Mary is survived by her children, son-in-law Dave Vermeersch, Sharon (Greg) Hill, Daniel (Nancy) Diamond, Maureen Green, Joni (Brad) Nicely, Karen Diamond, Mary (Dan Rogus) Stauffer; her grandchildren, Amy (Jason) and Scott Vermeersch, Leeds (Jeremy) and Ian Hill, Megan (Mike) O'Toole, Danee Lewis, Bobby and Sidney Green, Connor and Colleen Thompson, Brenna, Danny, Charlie, and Naomi Stauffer and several grand and great grand fur babies; her siblings, James (the late, Sigrid) Ryan, Betty Fiorenza; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Margaret is predeceased by her daughter, Denise Vermeersch; her grandchildren, Michael and Patrick Vermeersch and her brother, Dennis Ryan.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211, on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment to be determined at a later date by the family.
