SCHENECTADY - Margaret N. Magiera, 53, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born on November 4, 1955 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Loveda (Hadsell) Magiera. She enjoyed going to Turning Stone and playing the slot machines, and enjoyed baking, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her life partner of 33 years, Carmen Gallo; her children, Terri Magiera, Carmen Magiera, Walter Magiera, Dominique (Jeremy) Duquette and Danielle Magiera; her brothers, Fulton Magiera, Robert (Margaret) Magiera, Ronald (Annie) Magiera, Walter (Lillian) Magiera and Alexander (Sherry) Magiera; 6 grandchildren; Carmen's mom, Patricia Gallo and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Benjamin and George Magiera.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer – Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.).
