LATHAM – Margaret Noviczski, 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Ellis Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Margaret was born on June 11, 1946 in Welland, Ontario, Canada and is the daughter of Elsie (Sambol) St. Pierre and the late Steven Molnar. A graduate of Maria College of Nursing, she worked as a registered nurse for more than 40 years for Dr. Laurence Weiner where she was also a diabetes educator. She retired in 2009.
Margaret's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren; other passions included gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, dancing, and tennis. She loved visiting her family in Canada, as well as traveling to her winter home in The Villages, Florida.
In addition to her mother, Margaret is survived by her devoted children, Julianne M. (David) Carnevale, Karianne M. (Joseph) Altieri, and James M. (Jonina) Noviczski; her loving companion, Jeffrey W. Jordan; her cherished grandchildren, Madalyn and Andrew Altieri, and Emma Noviczski; her brothers, Steven A. (Claudette) Molnar and Larry M. (Darlene) Molnar; and her nephews and niece, Michael, Adam, and Lauren Molnar.
The family would like to thank Dr. Laurence Weiner and Dr. Thomas Goodman and their staffs as well as the staff at Ellis Hospital for their care, concern and compassion that was given to Margaret throughout her battle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Latham. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
