Margaret S. Phinney
April 20, 1929 — December 5, 2015
Guilderland- Margaret S. Phinney, 86, passed away Saturday December 5, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Stephens.
Margaret was a graduate of the Vincentian Institute as well as Mildred Elley. She was also a member of The New Friends Guilderland. She was also an active member of the Christ the King Church and was a communicant as well as a member of the choir. Margaret was an ambassador at the Albany International Airport.
Margaret is predeceased by her husband Robert Phinney as well as her sister Miriam Aery.
She is survived by her daughters Carol (Tony) Cassara of Rochester and Janet (Greg) Miller of Albany. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Joe (Katie) Cassara, Pete (Nicole) Cassara, Amy Cassara and Amanda, Courtney and Julie Miller as well as 11 great grandchildren, her brother Harold Stephens, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015, 10:00am at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Interment will follow mass at Memory Gardens.
