East Greenbush - Margaret A. Sherry (Peggy), 79, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. She was born on June 6, 1944 (D-Day) in Albany.

She was the daughter of the late William and Albea (Veillette) Sherry. Peggy graduated from Cardinal McCloskey Memorial High School in 1962 and from Hudson Valley Community College in 1997. Peggy worked for the NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets for five years and then for the Department of Motor Vehicles for 34 years. Peggy was also an Avon Representative for 23 years. She very much enjoyed skiing and was a member of the O.C. (Out of Control) Ski Club for 24 years. She was also a member of the North Albany Limericks for 26 years.

She is survived by her brother, Gerald Sherry (Ann Callahan), her sisters-in-law, Karen Sherry and Sharon Sherry, and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald Sherry and Richard Sherry.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189.

Peggy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 33 Walter Street, Albany, NY 12204. Internment will follow mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peggy's name to The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
