Margaret Siniski, 71, passed away peacefully on December 18 at home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Roberta Siniski.
Margaret spent her career in the insurance industry as a claims examiner employed by various Blue Cross, Blue Shield affiliates.
Upon her retirement, she dedicated her time to the care of her pets and was an active member of many canine clubs. She was an advocate for the humane treatment of animals and participated in dog rescue and placement efforts.
She was especially proud of EZ, her Champion Nova Scotia Duck Trolling Retriever who participated in the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. She thoroughly enjoyed holidays and special occasions celebrating with family.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Joe (Janice); niece, Jennifer (Joe); nephew, Joe (Lynsee) and three grandnieces and a grandnephew.
Due to the precautions for Covid-19, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
In Margaret's honor, memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands NY 12204.
