Margaret M. Stammel

COLONIE- Stammel, Margaret was reunited with her husband, Raymond Stammel on July 23,2022. Margaret retired as a dispatcher for the Town of Colonie Animal Control. In life, she loved tending to her many gardens and sitting on the deck. In her early years, she enjoyed camping and going to the beach with her family.

Margaret is survived by her sons; Wayne (Angela), Keith (Tracey), her grandchildren; Jamy, Chris (Dipali), Lyndsey House (Deb), Breanna, Zachary and Mary Stammel. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Raegan Robinson, Parker Stammel, Ashton Witherbee, Kairav Wayne Stammel- Patel and Colson Witherbee. Margaret is also survived by her brother James VanDeusen. She was predeceased by her siblings, Florence Weekly, Leonard VanDeusen, Delores VanDeusen Heidenreich, Audrey Branion and Joan Nerney . She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, Colonie. All are invited to attend her funeral service following at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

The family wishes to thank the Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the compassion and care of Margaret the last few years.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in Margaret's name to NAMI: National Alliance of Mental Illness.
