Margaret Szymanski

BALLSTON SPA, NY – Margaret A. Szymanski, 90, of Ballston Spa, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007. Born in Summit, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ora O'Neill. Margaret worked for General Electric Company for fifteen years and more recently, as a nurse's aide for 10 years before her retirement. She enjoyed collecting antiques and teddy bears. She was the wife of the late Carl Szymanski. Margaret is the beloved mother of Louise English Greenwood and her companion, Keith Gallup. She is the cherished grandmother of Gary Greenwood and his wife, Mary, Gail Greenwood Beckenstein and Gregg Greenwood and his wife, Laura. Margaret is the loving great-grandmother of Heather Beckenstein and Dean Greenwood. Also surviving is her sister, Edna Reed, as well as several nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her siblings, Hugh O'Neill, Patrick O'Neill, Ora Dibble and her twin sister Dora O'Neill and Albert O'Neill.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
