Margaret A. Wood

Margaret A. (Peggy) Wood, 80, of Colonie, N.Y. passed away on July 19, 2021 at home. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Gladys Wilkes and her life partner, John (Mac) McGivern.

Upon retiring from the Department of Transportation she enjoyed spending time with family at Brant Lake. Her greatest asset was her sense of humor. When asked at the Doctor's "which arm" when getting a shot, her reply was always, "yours!"

She is survived by her sisters, Susan Matan, Nancy (Robert) Reedy, Janet (Ronald) Russett, her "adopted" brother David Blair and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 4, from 10am to 12pm with a service to immediately follow at 12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie N.Y. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery.
