SCHENECTADY – Margaret A. "Peggy" Wood, 73, of Schenectady passed away on July 10, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Schoharie on Sept. 10, 1949 a daughter of the late Edward Pine and Elizabeth Wood.
Peggy worked for many years for the State of New York Dept. of Tax and Finance until her retirement.
She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, Lifetime TV, Family Feud, but most of all, spending time with her family.
Peggy was predeceased by her son Robert Wood.
She is survived by her children, Rachel (Deividas) Lukosiunas, Jessica and George (Emily) Jimerson, and Andrea and Andrew Berg; 6 grandchildren, Kyle Vamvas, Olivia Berg, Jada, Logan, Amelia and Carter Jimerson.
Visiting hours will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A graveside service will be held on Friday July 14 at 1:00 pm at Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie. Donations in Peggy's memory may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave, Schenectady, NY 12302.
