Marguerite O. Monty

Marguerite O'Hara Monty, 88, of Niskayuna, NY and formerly Rouses Point, NY, passed peacefully on Sunday, August 11,2013, at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 7, 1925, in Champlain, NY, the daughter of John O'Hara and Ruth Allard O'Hara.
She married her high school sweetheart, Carl E. Monty on November 23, 1944, in Mooers, NY. Together they lovingly raised three children.
Marguerite was a former parishioner of St. Patrick's Church and Alter Rosary Society Member. She was an avid organist and vocalist, performing as a child with her brother John on local radio. Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and making delicious pies.
Marguerite was predeceased by her son, Steven Monty: her brother John O'Hara, his wife, Marion, and her brother Bernard "Bill" O'Hara.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl, her devoted daughters Connie Yanson and husband Reg; Jean LaBombard and husband Randy; her special daughter-in-law Dorothy Monty; her loving grandchildren: Logan Yanson and wife Gina; Ryan Yanson and wife Tracy; Caitlin Yanson Clements and husband Jon; Kevin Monty and companion Sasha Greene; Dustin Maher; Jenna LaBombard and companion Jamie Gowett; as well as her sister-in-law Shirley O'Hara. Marge was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Alan, Madeline, Gavin, and Hadley.
Donations in Marguerite's memory can be made to The American Heart Association, or charity of one's choice. Internment will be at the convenience of the family.
