Marguerite Varallo entered peacefully into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Born on June 12, 1911, in Livingston, New York, Marguerite spent the greater part of her life living and working as a Registered Nurse in the New York City area. Survivors include her sister, Lillian Rivenburg, a niece, Brenda Bareika, two nephews, Robert (Virginia) Bareika, and Jeffrey (Sandra) Rivenburg, as well as many dear friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Herman (Al) Hoelscher, brother, Harry Bareika, and dear brother-in-law, Clyde Rivenburg.
Marguerite and her second husband, John Varallo, spent many happy years living in Naples, Florida. Following John's death, Marguerite began Ballroom dancing and quickly became the family's darling "Auntie Mame". She found great pleasure with her "dancing family" and enjoyed many competitions and travel events with her friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Teresian House in Albany, New York for their tender, loving care. Marguerite had a special connection with the staff and enjoyed many laughs and good times with her "special family".
A memorial service will be held in Albany at the family's convenience.
