Maria Martinez

COLONIE- Maria P. Martinez, 77, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday March 30, 2006 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Pamplona, Spain and was the daughter of the late Fermin and Valeriana Labalde.
Maria had worked with South Colonie Central School District food services for twenty years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making dolls. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Maria is the beloved wife of fifty years to Louis Martinez. She is the devoted mother of Dr. Estrella Maria R. Martinez ( Rodolfo Bogado). She is the cherished grandmother of Javier-Luis I. Martinez. She is also survived by several sisters in Spain and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:45 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home.
