SCHENECTADY – Marian D. Kwak, 89, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 19, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Schenectady and lived there for all of her life. There was nothing Marian loved more than spending time with her family. She enjoyed the large family gatherings held at her house, playing games at the dining room table and watching her children and grandchildren play in the pool. Marian enjoyed Friday night Canasta at her friends. She loved ceramics and would give classes to her daughters and their friends in her ceramic room in her basement. Marian was a crossing guard for the City of Schenectady where she watched over the little ones and often knitted hats and gloves for them. She worked at the Mont Pleasant Bakery on Wolf Road where enjoyed meeting all of the people. Marian was loved dearly by not only her family but her friends and neighbors and all who knew her. She was the glue that held her family together and her loss leaves a hole that can never be filled. Marian was smart, fun-loving, very generous, kind and thoughtful. This beautiful woman will be missed by all who knew her.
