ZEPHYRHILLS, FLA. – Marian E. Tibbitts, 88, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 in Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Walter H. Anna Marie (Yarum) Ristau. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Tibbitts Jr.; her son, William H. Tibbitts III; her daughter, Kathleen Shufelt; and her brothers, Walter and Richard Ristau.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Michael) Kochan of Zephyrhills; her daughter-in-law, Mary Tibbitts of Colonie; her son-in-law, Ted Shufelt of Zephyrhills; her grandchildren, Keith and Keven Kochan, Kimberly Buscomb, Michael (Sheila Oliver) Smith, David (Lenore Littlejohn) Smith, Candice Slingerland, Ray (Laura) Slingerland, Sharon (Phil) White, and Gary (Lisa) Tibbitts; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. There will be no calling hours.
