Marian Lipe

Latham- Marian I. Lipe, 87, died on Monday, March 29, 2005 at the Albany County Nursing Home. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Anne Lobdell. Marion was a graduate of the Mary Warren School in Troy, and also Watervliet High School. She went on to work for the NYS Dept. of Civil Services until her retirement in 1982. Marian enjoyed reading, writing, movies and baseball games. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Seniors, Women's Auxiliary of the Conservation Corps #82, and also a member of the Guilderland VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Marian is predeceased by her husband Michael L. Lipe, and her three brothers; Sidney, Melville, and Gilbert Lobdell.
Marian is survived by her son Richard Lipe of Albany, dear friend Kathryn Gonzalez of Albany, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
