CLIFTON PARK- O. Marian Van Kempen, 92, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family.
Marian was born in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Edward and Oda McClure on March 12, 1926. On December 4, 1945, she married the love of her life, the late F. Peter Van Kempen. She was a medical transcriptionist for many years, at Child's Hospital, and for Dr. Sydney Etkin. She was a member of Christ Community Reformed Church, in Clifton Park, NY.
Marian is survived by her beloved sons, Rev. Frederick (Shelley) Van Kempen, and Dr. Gary (Dorinda) Van Kempen, her grandsons, Craig(Angela), Mark(Kate), and Andy(Maggy), and her great-grandson, Isaac.
A memorial service will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday(4/23/18), at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Bethlehem, NY.
