Obituary for Marianne Koslowski
November 3, 1942 - August 11, 2021
Marianne (Spulnick) Koslowski, 78, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was born in Albany to the late Stanley and Mary Spulnick.
Marianne attended St. Joseph's Academy in Albany, and later graduated with a degree in English from the College of St. Rose. She worked for the NYS Department of Commerce and with the Governor's Office under Nelson Rockefeller for over twenty years.
Marianne's true passion was being hospitable to all whom she met and befriended, as well as her unwavering love to her family. She would often host gatherings at her home, loved to cook and garden, read, socialized with her book club, and in her later years, took up the art of quilting, creating masterpieces for family and friends.
Marianne was the beloved wife of Kenneth Koslowski and devoted mother to her son, Anthony, both of Clifton Park.
She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Valcik; her brother, Stanley Spulnick, and her son, Kenneth Alan Koslowski, Jr.
Survivors include her brother, Anthony (Sandy) Spulnick of Guilderland, NY; brother-in-law, John Valcik, Sr. of Clifton Park, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held Monday, August 16 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 17 at 11:00am at the Blessed Virgin Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church, 250 Old Maxwell Road, Latham. Burial will follow at a later date at the Albany Rural Cemetery in the family plot.
